Carrie Gutierrez, Owner Strikeout Pitching

Carrie (Markham) Gutierrez is the owner and founder of Strikeout Pitching, LLC. Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Carrie grew up immersed in sports, playing softball with several local organizations and competing in volleyball. Her passion for athletics took her to Belmont Abbey College just outside Charlotte, North Carolina, where she earned scholarships in both softball and volleyball and competed in both sports throughout her collegiate career.

After graduation, while pursuing a Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Change, Carrie met Denny Tincher of Tincher Pitching. Inspired by his innovative approach to pitching development, she became a Certified Tincher Pitching Instructor in 2010.

In 2012, Carrie returned home to Arizona and began offering pitching instruction throughout the greater Phoenix area, implementing the Tincher Pitching philosophy and staying at the forefront of evolving pitching research. With over a decade of pitching development experience and a strong background as a collegiate athlete, Carrie is dedicated to helping her pitchers reach their full potential, both on and off the field.

Outside of coaching, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, a professional baseball coach, and their young daughter, Callie. As a family, they live and breathe sports and believe that youth athletics are a powerful foundation for lifelong success.
